6 Steps To Treating Yeast & BV Naturally

· Yeast Infection,Bacterial Vaginosis,Women's Health

Are you struggling with reoccurring yeast infections or bacterial outbreaks? Are you ready to finally receive the natural relief that you need? If yes, you've come to the right place. Understanding what a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis is are great starts to naturally remedying your frustrations.

So, what is a yeast infection or bacteria vaginosis(bv)?

A vaginal yeast infection, also known as candidiasis, is a very common fungal condition among women. It happens when the healthy yeast that normally lives in the vagina grows out of control due to an unfavorable environment. Yeast cells multiply and vaginal pH shifts when the balance of good and bad yeast changes. This reaction then leads to overgrowth and is the cause of intense itching, swelling, odor, yellow discharge and irritation.

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the overgrowth of “bad” bacteria or microflora in the vagina. In BV the overproduction of bacteria upsets the natural balance of the vagina, causing uncomfortable symptoms as well.

**It’s important to note that a healthy vagina does contain bacteria and some yeast cells. But the problem arises when the balance of bacteria and yeast alters in a way that create imbalance.**

There are many reasons why women experience chronic yeast or bacteria infections such as: hormonal imbalance, sti's, vaginal infections or pH imbalance. But, if you keep treating your symptoms (odor, yellow discharge, vaginal irritation, itching and swelling) without tackling the root cause -- you are only providing a temporary band-aid that's not effective long term. The symptomatic outbreaks will return.

The solution?

When treating both of these conditions, it's imperative to treat them from the inside out. It's important to attack the underlying issues - not just symptoms, which is only a response to what's actually happening.

  1. First and foremost, support your body's detox process. Enhanced liver function is imperative at this time. Detoxing your body to help cleanse, replenish, reset and renew your system is always the first step. Grab your gentle detox cleanse.
  2. Starve the yeast. We do this through diet, sugar feeds candida. Reducing your sugar intake, cutting out processed foods and adding more whole food items to your diet helps tremendously. Fruit is limited to low-glycemic choices. No milk, which has the sugar lactose that tends to promote yeast overgrowth and in some cases, because milk can contain antibiotics, it can promote overgrowth. No yeast-containing foods such as alcohol and peanuts are recommended. Remove food sensitivities.
  3. Elimnate stress and environmental factors. Stress weakens our body's ability to fight off the infection and it causes more outbreaks. Try to take it easy.
  4. Use organic skin and body care products. Organic feminine and skin care products are heaven for our intimate spaces. This helps to minimize your exposure to vaginal irritation and pH imbalance..
  5. Choose a healthy sex partner. Choosing a healthy sex partner contributes to the elimination of your infection as well. Making sure your sex partner practices good hygiene is important. Get tested routinely if you or your partner have multiple sex partners.
  6. Invest in an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial natural supplement. Herbs are great at helping to naturally relieve infections. Azadirachta indica is a powerful anti-viral and anti-fungal. This herb has been used successfully for years to treat yeast and bv overgrowth and is known to be more effective than over-the-counter vaginal creams. Our herbal Yeast & BV Tincture  contains Azadirachta indica, along with other helpful herbs for natural relief.

Follow these 6 steps and you're sure to see a change in your yeast and bv outbreaks. If you wish to take it a step further I would also recommend steaming for natural support to treat vaginal infection directly, and to support your cleansing and detoxing process.
